We’re delighted to be part of Folkestone’s Take Up Space festival this year with a workshop inspired by the festival theme of The Female Gaze.

Feeling defiant? Come and join us, learn about Moving Memory’s approach to putting the world to rights, loosen up, have a laugh, and let go!

We will celebrate the wit and wisdom of older women via movement and music, subverting perceptions of what it means to be ‘old’.

Within the workshop, we will turn the ‘gaze’ in on ourselves, exploring our ‘welly’, our Gestures of Defiance, finding what it is that we want to say to the world currently, creating a ‘stomp’ that demonstrates the strength and power of this community.

No experience is necessary. Please wear clothes and footwear you feel comfortable moving in, and bring a bottle of water.
