Beside the Sea

We were delighted to be awarded funding from the Big Lottery Fund (Awards for All) which allowed us to run a fantastic project with the Sunshine Saturdays group at Age UK Thanet during October and November 2017.

Beside the Sea brought together an intergenerational, mixed ability group, including older people living with a dementia, and members of the Moving Memory company. They used movement, music, spoken word and projections to creatively explore the way the sea features in the identity of their local community – Margate.
