Join our Board

We are looking for someone with the passion and commitment to help lead Moving Memory. You will need an understanding of / interest in:
– movement-based theatre
– the health and well-being benefits of creative activity
– the opportunities and threats of our ageing society, especially for older people
– the core requirements of good charity governance and the demands of regulatory bodies
– strategic and financial planning.
Ideally, you will have a track-record in charity governance – or be willing to undertake training.
You will need to commit to an average of approximately half a day per month, including keeping up-to-date with the organisation’s activities, supporting paid staff, attending performances, workshops or other events and attending a minimum of four formal meetings each year. These meetings are usually held early evening at the University of Kent, Canterbury – but this can be flexible to accommodate care or other responsibilities/needs.
