Kick Up A Fuss Collective
Moving Memory Dance Theatre is delighted to introduce Kick Up A Fuss Collective – a new company of older performers.
Members of Kick Up A Fuss have been working with Moving Memory for nearly two years, taking part in workshops, performances and training which empower older people to work collaboratively to tell their stories through the body. Now they are venturing out with their own identity and a new performance.
“And then she…” has been created by Kick Up A Fuss Collective especially for Gulbenkian’s This Girl Can Family Day on Saturday 7th March 2020 and will be performed at 10am & 1.30pm. (Tickets for the whole day are £2.)
For “And then she…” the performers have investigated the individual journeys of their younger selves and now celebrate what they have learned along the way in a sensitive, funny and revealing piece, sending positive messages back across the years.
Moving Memory’s support for the creation of Kick Up A Fuss is the result of Still Stomping – a project with Gulbenkian, Kent County Council and University of Kent which is part of The Baring Foundation and Arts Council England’s Celebrating Age programme.
