Beside Me

19 February, 2020

6 women with big red bows in their hair, flowery skirts and white aprons sit at a table and strike a pose while 3 musicians, including 1 man playing an accordion strike a pose in the background.

The company have been working on ideas of intimacy –  the deeply knowing of another person and feeling deeply known – for a while now. They’ve explored its many aspects – physical, emotional, warmth, closeness, trust, friends, lovers, colleagues, family, motherhood, childhood, death. And thought about why some of us fear being truly known, how things change over time, the intensity of lifelong relationships and the importance of forgiving, forbearing and persisting. They’ve also been looking at how food is part of our most intimate experiences.

Please come and share what we’ve thought – and laughed – about so far in Beside Me, a special show for POW Thanet on Friday 13th March. There will be smells, smiles and stuff that simmers, shocks and smoulder – an intimate performance for anyone who has ever had an intimate moment.
