Volunteer with Moving Memory

Could you become a Moving Memory Volunteer?

Moving Memory makes contemporary, visually striking, surprising and entertaining performances for audiences of all ages, and we perform them in all sorts of places, from theatres to shopping centres. The work we make, and the way we make it, aims to change perceptions of age and ageing.

We hope that by being a volunteer, you will have fun doing something different, connect to new people, and be part of our movement to challenge ageism.

As a volunteer, you might be assisting performers backstage or making sure audiences have a great time or supporting our participatory work. In the long-term, we have lots of ideas for new projects with volunteers – you can help shape those plans!

In the short-term, if you think this might be interesting, please get-to-know-us by coming to three online lunch-time Zoom meetings on 6th, 13th and 20th May (12.30 – 1.30pm). You’ll learn about the way we work and a little bit of our new show, Busting Trifles. You will be invited to a dress rehearsal of Busting Trifles on 27th May (at the University of Kent, Canterbury). And, if you are really keen, we’d love you to help out at a performance of the show in Thanet on Friday 28th May and / or Medway on Saturday 29th May (times and locations to be confirmed).

If you are interested in any way, during May or in the longer term, please email info@movingmemorydance.com and let us know how you would like to be involved.
