Celebrate Ageing. Challenge Ageism. Get Dover Dancing.

11 June, 2025

A group of adults in a library, some seated and some standing, are all raising their arms above their heads.

Today (11 June) is both Centre for Ageing Better’s Challenging Ageism Day and CADA’s Age Without Limits Day — a national call to challenge tired stereotypes and recognise the value and contribution of older people in our communities.

Moving Memory puts the older body centre stage, and we have always believed that ageing should be visible, celebrated and packed with creativity. This year, we’re holding a crowdfunding campaign to bring inclusive movement workshops to Dover.

Dover’s older community is growing, but so are rates of loneliness and isolation. With your help, we want to bring a free programme of Groovin Well workshops to the town – joyful, welcoming sessions for people aged 50+ to have fun, loosen up, and celebrate the good stuff of life.

The theme of Age Without Limits Day 2025 is Celebrate Ageing. Challenge Ageism. By supporting this campaign, you’ll be part of that movement – creating space for older people to be seen, heard, and valued.

How you can get involved:

  • Support our crowdfunder and help us reach our £12,500 target.
  • Share the campaign with your networks.
