Event Info

On Saturday 18 October, WOW North East throws open its doors to people of all ages, for a free festival brimming with energy, ideas, and inspiration. Explore everything from politics to pop culture, sex to sport, and activism to art through personal, local stories of resilience and activism, events, performances, panels, headline interviews and workshops.

Join Moving Memory Dance Theatre Company for Stomps of Stature. Pioneers of bold, visually rich storytelling through movement, sound and imagery, Moving Memory craft transformative experiences with older people – smashing stigmas and celebrating the extraordinary in the everyday.

As part of Stomps of Stature, the company’s ‘Little Old Ladies’ will make a joyful appearance in a short pop-up walkabout performance, followed by an uplifting participatory session led by Creative Director Sian Stevenson and members of the Core Performance Company: Dance Demo, Whilst You Dunk!

No experience needed, all welcome – wear comfy clothes to move in and bring some water.
