Event Info

In partnership between Moving Memory and People United, we bring Moving Stories – a series of free, creative workshops designed for older people. Come and share stories, move your body and make things!

Led by our experienced teams, the sessions combine movement with storytelling and creative making, and most importantly, they’re about having fun.

  • Every Wednesday 10.30am – 12pm
  • 20 May – 19 August 2026
  • Age UK Herne Bay, Day Centre, 16 Reculver Road, Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 6LE

Wear comfy clothes you can move in, bare feet or trainers, and bring a bottle of water.

The workshops are open, inclusive and adaptable, welcoming people of all abilities. They are particularly supportive of:

  • Older people aged 55+
  • People with long-term health conditions or disabilities
  • People experiencing social isolation

Everyone is welcome. Everyone is valued. Everyone is celebrated.

This project is generously supported by Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable, Canterbury City Council and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
