Creative Practice

Our work animates so called ‘ordinary’ life experiences and stories into extraordinary performances.

In doing so, we change older people’s lives for the better — people feel valued and seen, experiencing the sheer joy of connecting with other people through dance and movement.

‘These programmes of work are filling a significant gap in people’s lives. Many participants fed back that it was the highlight of their week’

‘A big thanks for the dance sessions & performance. My grandchildren think I’m cool!’

‘I enjoyed getting to know the others and working out very rusty “muscles” — both physical & creative.’

‘I’ve become a different person — it was like a liberation — I’ve got my body back!’

Groovin Well

Our groundbreaking Groovin Well programme supports older people, people with long-term health conditions or disabilities, and people experiencing social isolation. Our innovative approach is designed to encourage sustained physical activity and engage people who do not normally take part in movement and exercise.

DamnIt! DanceIt!

DamnIt! DanceIt! is our entry-level programme. These workshops are drop-in and free, located in public spaces such as shopping centres and libraries. We engage directly with members of the public and welcome people to join over the long or short term.

Training

We don’t just deliver training for our own facilitator team but offer external training for a wide variety of arts, health and sports professionals to encourage a more inclusive approach to workshops through co-creation.
