Event Info

Moving Well workshops are led by and for people aged 50+, no experience needed. All shapes, sizes and levels of mobility welcome. Sessions will build from simple getting-to-know-you activities through to making a short choreography from participants’ own stories and movements.

The sessions are about having fun, loosening up and letting go, celebrating the good stuff of life.

“It’s liberating!”

There’s also an exciting opportunity to take part in a research project with University of Kent sports scientists, showing how Moving Well can make you stronger, fitter, and happier.

The project will include a series of health measurements taken to track improvements in fitness and strength. All data will be anonymised and stored securely by Moving Memory in a password-protected digital folder. It’s completely optional – you can come and move without joining the research, and you’ll still be just as welcome.

Learn more about the research project here.

Wednesdays, 3 September – 10 December
10.30am – 12pm
The Community Room, Wood Avenue Library Folkestone CT19 6HS
(There will be no session on 29 October).

This project is generously supported by Sport England, University of Kent, Roger De Haan Charitable Trust and Active Kent.
